Support is key to success, and parents need support too. Parents, you are not alone; we are here to support you and your child in this journey. We understand the profound impact that these differences have on school performance, social skills, and life in general. No matter what choice you make on the school environment, our goal is to serve and advocate with you and for you and your child. From science-based reading interventions and training at the Landmark School, the goal standard of dyslexia education, to MNRI reflex integration, and Sensory Integration certifications, we strive to bring our community holistic treatment that addresses the whole child from emotional regulation, phyisical organization, cognitive retention, and positive mental health.

From infants to adults, we navigate the world by processing sensory feedback. Vision, auditory (sound processing), touch, movement, and other internal sensory systems of the muscles and joints. As the brain processes various types, intensities, and durations of environmental stimuli, the connection between the body and the brain can interpret information as "too much" or " not enough," impacting development, growth, emotional regulation, and academic/cognitive skills. At Rise, we support the whole person and meet them where they are, developmentally and neurologically, while designing individualized activity plans and education supports to maximize progress and goal setting unique to each individual.

Foundational neurological skills are the building blocks that support a child’s overall development, learning, and emotional well-being. These skills include how the brain processes sensory information (such as what a child sees, hears, and feels), regulates attention and emotions, coordinates movement, and plans and organizes actions. When these foundational systems work well together, children are better able to focus, follow directions, manage their bodies and emotions, and engage successfully in learning tasks like reading, writing, and problem-solving. Over time, this can impact motivation, emotional regulation, and resilience. At Rise, we work to support a strong, efficient foundation for each unique neurological system ,enabling the body and brain to function optimally.

From pre-academic skills to college readiness, education supports in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning can foster academic success, social skills for improved peer interactions, self-esteem, and greater independence in goal setting, task initiation and completion, time management, and organization. At Rise, we engage students by leveraging their neurological strengths to support areas of need, reducing stress and frustration.

At Rise Therapy, L.L.C., our mission is to ensure no child is left behind by providing cutting-edge individualized therapies designed to assist each and every child with their unique learning needs.

R.I.S.E. therapists are passionate about working with kids with learning differences because we are parents of children with learning differences first. We understand the dynamic you face daily that most don't, and our mission is to ensure every child's individual learning needs are met, understood, and advocated for. Our staff has trained in Texas, Boston, Orlando, Denver, Arizona, and California, to name a few, because we seek out the highest training standard no matter where that takes us so that all children in Alabama recieve the best possible care.

The sensory and motor systems are the foundation of our central
nervous system. They allow the brain to take in and respond to
information from inside and outside the body through hearing, sight, smell, taste, touch, movement, and balance. This balance can be disrupted in unexpected ways. Rapid societal change, chronic stress, difficulty in school, and other adverse life experiences are increasingly leading to physical and mental health challenges. By learning to better regulate our nervous system, we can change how we respond to life’s challenges and how we experience and engage with the world around us. Find out how the safe and sound program can help in person or remotely based on your individual needs.

The combined elements of an ILS program — movement, treated and bone conduction — help build the foundation for brain and body organization. By addressing brain function at a foundational level, we are better able to become more mentally and emotionally resilient, more effective at school or work, and function positively in our world. Our specialized training in MNRI reflex integration, visual-motor integration, sensory intergration, learning differences, trauma, and the HPA axis allows us to access your primary program needs to implement a in-person or remote program to best fit your needs as well as coach you through your program and goal progress for optimal outcomes. Reflex integration is the foundation of all learning and supports brain maturation at higher centers, allowing learning and motor development to occur with ease. When reflexes remain active, the brain must work harder to perform daily skills that are needed for learning and cognitive development. These challenges can affect the nervous system, leading to a "stuck" developmental state and emotional difficulties with attention, self-regulation, anxiety, motor control, coordiantion, and reading and writing skills. MNRI is the most researched method of reflex integration. Our core speciality in this method is more than a single course or two; it encompasses over 300 HOURS of training, including direct training at the Masgutova Institute of Orlando for direct training in reflexes directly related to sensory processing difficulties, dyslexia, PTSD/anxiety, neurotactile, visual and auditory reflexes, and ADD/ADHD, trauma, and motor coordination and control.

At Rise, we walk with you throughout the entire journey. We diagnose both dyslexia and dysgraphia using the gold standards in assessment. We work alongside parents and caregivers, both in person and virtually, to support you with education, advocacy, and therapy that follows the standard principles set by the International Dyslexia Association. We are trained in Orton-Gillingham methodology-based programs, including S.P.I.R.E. and Structured Word Inquiry. Our staff are also trained and certified Dyslexia IEP Advocates. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions to meet the needs of our students in Alabama and beyond.
Your child's education is the top priority. But when a child begins to struggle to learn, it can be an overwhelming and terrifying experience. It does not have to be. Often, parents don't know where to begin to find the supports that meet their child's needs or to ensure those in place are actually working. 30% of children struggle to learn in a typical classroom setting while their underlying neurodiverse patterns go unrecognized academically for years. At Rise, we specialize in IEP advocacy and parent education because we know the protections in place under IDEA and FAPE that ensure students are identified early and recieve fair and appropriate education based on their specific learning difference. Reading delays make up 80% of IEP needs. At Rise, we provided the gold standard in intensive reading intervention. Reading is the gateway to all learning and affects self-esteem, peer interactions, and all other subjects as early as 2nd grade. Additionally, we offer online parent training and summer intensive sessions.
